Nowadays, no one likes to have expensive mobile phones, but if these same smartphones are lost or stolen, they cause a lot of trouble. One of the main reasons for the concern of mobile users is the snatching of expensive phones while the other major reason is the loss of important data stored in the phone. But no worries, because there are features inside the Android phone that you can use to track a phone get your lost phone back.
It also often happens that we lose our phone. Or many times in our own home we don’t remember where we last kept it. Sometimes it can be burglary when we go out somewhere. Phone theft is on the rise. If you forget to keep the phone at home, you can ask someone to call. However, if it is lost or stolen outside the home, a little extra help may be needed to find it. One way you can find your Android phone and locate it. You can also delete all of its data if needed.
Track a phone with “Find My Device” from Google
Google offers a simple process in which users can find their Android phone and erase all data. This feature is from Find My Device. There are a few things to keep in mind when using it. Your phone must be on for this. You must be signed in to a Google Account. The phone must be connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi. Location must be on. It is also important that the Find My Device option should be turned on.
First of all, set a strong password or fingerprint lock on your smartphone. Do not use the facial recognition feature for security as anyone can unlock the phone showing your picture. A strong password is important so that no one has access to emails, banking data and other information on your phone.
The Find My Device option is automatically turned on when you sign in with a Google Account on any Android phone. To check, go to Phone Settings and select the Security & Location option and turn on the Find My Device feature if it is off.
Now if you lose your phone, sign in to a Google Account on a laptop, computer or other Android phone and open the Android.com / Find website. This website will automatically try to locate your phone and will also alert the phone that this phone has been tracked.
If the phone is nearby, you can easily find the phone with the PlaySound option. If the phone is turned off after being stolen, it will not be located, but as soon as the phone is turned on again and connected to Wi-Fi, Google will notify you via email.

Other options and apps for finding a lost smartphone
Google’s approach is the most “universal”, but not the only one. Various services and apps give us the possibility to find the lost mobile. And before we go any further, we know that you have seen on television that with a telephone number – even though it is actually a SIM card.
Police are triangulating their position in terms of the telephone antennas they are connected to. This is fine and can be done, but it can only be done by law enforcement, with the permission of the judge and within the scope of the police investigation. If a service or app promises you something like this, be suspicious and don’t install it, as these operators have private data and are protected by law.
Now, there are legitimate services and apps that use the aforementioned permissions to help us access and live locate mobile GPS. Here are some of the ones I found to be interesting: Find my phone, which, among other interesting and varied things, is in the official Google service that we can. Install it on a smartwatch. Check the location of the mobile on the clock or set alerts so that we do not forget the mobile when we are about to go somewhere.
Finally, the locator app offers us “phone locator”, which is a complete and interesting, especially for families, because its important and interesting feature is that we will not only control the position of the mobile on the map, but also all the family at the same time.
